Forty Fort Borough

On August 5, 1991, Forty Fort Borough Council adopted ordinance number 1991-6 establishing a mandatory recycling program in accordance with the Municipal Waste Planning, Recycling and Waste Reduction Act of the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Act of July 28, 1988, No. 101 (known as Act 101). This ordinance mandates all residents and commercial establishments to recycle. It also established the residential curbside recycling program that is still in existence today.
