Recreation Committee
The Minersville Borough Council revived the dormant recreation committee in late summer of 2006 when the first ever outdoor movie (Pirates of the Caribbean) was shown FREE to the public at the recreational complex following the parade celebrating the borough's 175th anniversary. Since that time a handful of interested citizens have met regularly trying to decide and plan activities for local borough residents.
Councilman Keith Adams serves as recreation committee chairman and has scheduled regular meetings on the first Monday of each month at 7PM in council chambers. Any interested citizen can attend and visitors are always welcome.
We sincerely thank our past and present supporters who have enabled this committee, as of spring of 2009, to provide more than $3500 of activities FREE over the past three years. We encourage you to express your gratitude to the following organizations or members/employees thereof:
