    RECREATION

Palmyra Borough does not operate a local Park and Recreation Department. In 1974, the Borough entered into an agreement with North Londonderry Township, South Londonderry Township, and the Palmyra Area School District to provide recreational planning and programming. The recreation programs are administered through the Palmyra Area Recreation and Parks Commission (PARPC). The intermunicipal agreement has been in effect for 26 years and has been successfully meeting the recreational needs of the Borough residents. The Palmyra Area Recreation and Parks Commission is located in the Palmyra Borough Municipal Center. They may be contacted by telephoning (717) 838-9244 or you may visit their website at http://palmyrarec.org.
