DRIVEWAY PERMITS

To apply for a new and or repair/resurfacing driveway permit please visit the Borough Administrative Office with the following information:

1.Contractors name, phone number, and proof of workers compensation insurance
2.Address and property owner of location of work
3.Sketch with dimensions of work and surround area
4.Payment of $15.00
All of the regulations must be met for approval of permit. You can find the regulations in the Driveway Handout here.

Driveway Specifications

CURBING / SIDEWALK PERMIT

To apply for a curb/sidewalk permit please visit the Borough Administrative Office with the following information:

1.Contractors name, phone number, and proof of workers compensation insurance
2.Address and property owner of location of work
3.Knowledge of dimensions of what is being repaired; Length and Width of sidewalk and/or length of curbing
4.Knowledge of width of the beauty strip (grass strip between the curbing and the sidewalk)
5.Payment of $15.00

Curb & Sidewalk Specifications

STREET CLOSING PERMITS

To apply for a street closing permit please visit the Borough Administrative Office with the following information:

1.Certificate of Liability Insurance in minimum amounts of one million per occurrence or two million aggregates.
2.Location of alley/street requesting to close
3.Date and Time closing is needed
4.Knowledge of whether or not barricades will be needed from our Highway Dept.
5.Payment of $10.00 and if barricades are needed a refundable deposit of $15 for the barricades is required when picking up the permit
The Sewer, Highway, and Police Department must review street closing permits before a manager is able to approve. Give as much notice as possible when having to close a street or alley.

ROAD OCCUPANCY PERMITS (STREET CUTTING)

To apply for a road occupancy permit please visit the Borough Administrative Office with the following information:

1.Address/location of work
2.Description and purpose of work
3.Approximate start and ending date of work
4.Sketch of location of cut and dimensions of cut
5.Payment in necessary when picking up permit-minimum permit fee is $80.00 - actual fee depends on size of cut
